Satin Spar

Satin Spar is a gypsum often also called Selenite. The difference between Satin Spar and Selenite is the fact that satin spar is more fibrous and more white, almost opaque in comparison. It is often what is polished into carvings, wands, towers, palms etc due to its "cat-eye" effect. As it has the fibre optic property, light can pass through it depending on the direction.
