Citrine

From the French word "citron" we have Citrine, a gorgeous crystal that can be found in a number of regions. It is said to enhance concentration and release negative energies such as fears, phobias and the like.

Please keep in mind that there is a very large amount of Citrine on the market but is in fact heated Amethyst. So please keep in mind that most natural pieces are more pale yellow and can fade in color in sunlight.

*What does Heated Citrine mean?
Around 95% of the Citrine on the market at the moment is either heat treated Amethyst or Smoky Quartz. Heated Citrine is either an amethyst or smoky quartz heated up to around 900 degrees creating a dark burnt orange-yellow color. This does not change the healing properties of the meaning of citrine.
